Shifting your perception – a critical element when it comes to thinking about moving forward and preparing ourselves for the challenges that lie ahead.
Several months ago I made the decision to jump into a pretty hefty coaching program during one of my busiest seasons of the year. I needed a good jolt to get some clarity in my life - yes it’s true, the coach needs coaching too!
The process, along with everything that I already had on my plate both personally and professionally, was quite a challenge. A number of times throughout the course I asked myself, “what was I thinking?”
Well I can tell you that I am happy to report that I have now met 90% of those goals I said I would accomplish over the past 90 days. What was extra cool is that I also met the additional goal of growing my business by over 20% in 2015!
I share this with you to bring home the reason for once again becoming a believer in miracles. When they are powered by a strong desire and belief that the dream really needs to happen, the results seem to spontaneously fall into place.
What about you? What miracle would you like to see happen that has seemed impossible in your life in the past because perhaps you gave up too soon or didn’t give that particular desire the full attention it needed? Maybe you just didn’t believe enough that it could happen and you let your Inner Critic have the final word…
All too often simply giving up can easily happen when we don’t give the job at hand enough fuel. Isn’t that why New Years resolutions are pretty much forgotten by this date every January? It just becomes too hard to see it through day after day.
So I encourage you to take these 9 action items in this acronym I have created from the word PERCEPTION.
Positive Attitude – Have a positive attitude around every corner.
Energize – Keep your energy flowing throughout your mind and body.
Refuel – Eat the right blend of foods to keep the stamina happening.
Clarify – What does that goal or dream really and truly look like for you?
Engage – Bring others into the process that “get” you and your desires.
Pretend – The dream or goal has already come to life.
Take - The road less taken and quit following the crowd.
Innovate – Go where you have not gone before.
Oxygen – Always remember to put your oxygen mask on first before helping others.
Never - Say never!
Here’s to the miracles headed your way!
To Your Successes and Victories,
P.S. Go Broncos!!
